The Garden of the Mind
Philip W Groves
Paperback, 130 pages.
This book was first published in 1996 and the fourth edition released in 2011. It is a compilation of 12 public lectures examining the variety of approaches to the spiritualising of the whole person, and exploring the hidden aspects of life - in dreams, in the spiritual dimensions of biology, a study of life, death and eternity and the concept of transformation.
Here is a brief introduction to the book."There is no end to what the mind can assimilate and use, and to the extent that Divine truths are used and lived, so the mind is spiritualized and elevated to spiritual and celestial levels. Every garden has its paths, and spiritually such paths are ways through the mind that lead to realizations, insights and goals. It is our duty to see to it that the paths in our garden of the mind are paved with truths and not composed of blind beliefs or assumptions. We must clearly know our goals and the way that leads to those goals."
